EL SALVADOR - ONE NOMINATION FOR THE 2024 BREEDING SEASON

A well-bred and multiple stakes-placed horse who won the Irish Cesarewitch on his final start, El Salvador covered 85 mares in his first season at Killack Stud in Co. Wexford and he has the potential to become a successful National Hunt sire.

He is by the dual Derby hero and great stallion Galileo (by Sadler's Wells), he is a full-brother to the listed winner and Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes third Galactic Star, and he is out of the Group 1 Coronation Stakes heroine Balisada (by Kris).

His progeny have been in flying form lately, Salvador Ziggy and San Salvador both gaining black type over the last short while.

_{The Nomination will entitle the Purchaser to have one approved mare covered by the stallion in the 2024 Northern Hemisphere breeding season. The purchaser shall be entitled to a free return to the stallion for the 2025 covering season for the mare covered in 2024 or another approved mare provided that the stallion is still standing at the same farm and is available to cover mares and only if, following the end of the 2024 covering season:-a) the purchaser produces a certificate stating the mare is barren and signed by a qualified veterinary surgeon relating to an examination carried out at least 40 days from the mare's last service by the stallion, OR b) the purchaser produces a veterinary certificate to the effect that the mare either failed to give birth to a live foal or gave birth to a foal which died within 48 hours of birth other than by reason of accident.}
