ABOUT

FINANCIAL REWARD - ONE NOMINATION FOR THE 2024 BREEDING SEASON

Standing at: Ballinglen Stud (IRE)

A former member of the Willie Mullins team, he won a mile maiden at Listowel on his third start, won over hurdles at Thurles and Limerick, and was a close runner-up to Punjabi in the Grade 1 Champion 4-Y-O Hurdle at Punchestown, to Convincing in the Grade 2 Cashmans Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown, and to J’y Vole in a Grade 3 hurdle at Auteuil.

Financial Reward, whose third dam Stoyana (by Abdos) is also the third dam of Group 1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, dual Derby hero, and now retired classic sire Sinndar (by Grand Lodge), deserves attention.

The Grade 2 winning chaser Financial Reward has made the perfect start at stud, his only runner being a 4 time point-to-point winner and winner of a novice chance.

NB All successful bidders must pay for their Lots no later than close of business on 18th January 2024.
The Nomination will entitle the Purchaser to have one approved mare covered by the stallion in the 2024 Northern Hemisphere breeding season. The purchaser shall be entitled to a free return to the stallion for the 2025 covering season for the mare covered in 2024 or another approved mare provided that the stallion is still standing at the same farm and is available to cover mares and only if, following the end of the 2024 covering season:-a) the purchaser produces a certificate stating the mare is barren and signed by a qualified veterinary surgeon relating to an examination carried out at least 40 days from the mare's last service by the stallion, OR b) the purchaser produces a veterinary certificate to the effect that the mare either failed to give birth to a live foal or gave birth to a foal which died within 48 hours of birth other than by reason of accident.
