ABOUT

MASTER CARPENTER - ONE NOMINATION FOR THE 2024 BREEDING SEASON

Standing at: March Hare Stud (GB)

The son of Mastercraftsman was trained by Rod Millman to win a five-furlong Leicester maiden on debut in April of his juvenile season and a valuable conditions stakes at Pontefract two starts later.

On his seasonal reappearance at 3, he finished third behind Kingman and Night of Thunder in the AON Greenham Stakes (G3) before landing the listed Cantor Fitzgerald Corporate Finance Heron Stakes at Sandown and the 1 1/8-mile Prix Daphnis (G3) at Chantilly.

Master Carpenter is out of Fringe, a closely related half sister to the listed winner Mount Elbrus, with that pair out of El Jazirah, a Kris sister to Prix de Diane Hermes-French Oaks (G1) heroine Rafha, who is best known as the dam of top-class sires Invincible Spirit and Kodiac.

He becomes the third noteworthy member of the Eljazzi clan to retire to stud for 2019 along with Rathbarry Stud recruit James Garfield and Coolmore Stud retiree Gustav Klimt.

NB All successful bidders must pay for their Lots no later than close of business on 18th January 2024.
