50 % share of Phoenix Aquilus to stay with current trainer Seamus Durack
Fluid, athletic mover who is extremely versatile with regard to distance, code, surface and going.
Excellent jumper of hurdles and fences.
Out of a half sister to legendary jumper, Tiger Roll, and group performers over staying trips on the flat, Ahzeemah and Austrian School.
Classy and tough, late maturing family who progress with age and with stepping up in trip.
Promising efforts placed twice from only two runs on heavy ground as a 2yo.
Was considerately campaigned at 3 and during the first part of his 4yo career to give him time to mature. This has paid dividends as his last two runs have shown his huge potential to be an exciting staying prospect on flat and with tremendous scope to progress over obstacles at two miles and as he steps up in distance.
Remains very unexposed under both codes hence only selling 50% with stipulation to stay in yard. Could be an ideal syndicate horse.
“ Phoenix Aquilus is sold under the condition that the buyer must enter into a partnership agreement with the existing owner for 50% share to remain in training with the existing trainer, Seamus Durack, and must sign a training agreement with said trainer for the conditions of sale to be met.
To dissolve the partnership the horse would have to be sold to either party or a third party for a mutually agreed price. Failing agreement on suitable price the partnership would be dissolved by selling the horse at a public auction agreed by both parties. The current owner is to have a deciding vote as to choice of such public sale in the event that mutual agreement on choice of venue cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe or where there is a deadline to be met for entry to a particular sale.”
