CHAMPAGNE GOLD TOPS THOROUGHBID’S AUGUST SALE WHICH INCLUDED THE COMPLETE CLEARANCE OF W A HARRISON-ALLAN’S DISPERSAL

Friday 11th August 2023 – Champagne Gold has sold for £34,000 in ThoroughBid’s August Sale.
The 8yo Presenting gelding placed in a Grade 3 Novices’ Chase last season for Henry de Bromhead and now goes into the hands of Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero.
The sale, which featured the dispersal of the racing and breeding stock belonging to W A Harrison-Allan, had an 81% clearance rate and sold the entirety of Mr Harrison-Allan’s stock, including Undertheboardwalk, a 5yo mare by Acclamation from the family of dual-Classic winner Attraction, for £17,500.

Dan Astbury, part-purchaser of Champagne Gold, said: “He has been bought for a long-standing owner at Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero’s, with a view to go Hunter Chasing.
“He came highly recommended by a good friend and looks the ideal candidate to hopefully end up at one of the big hunter chases in the spring.
“We will get him to Stockton Hall give him a small break before he then comes back into training ready to run in the new year.”
